Crafted from a luxurious blend of blackcurrant, blueberry and raspberry wines, this rich dessert wine features an intense, complex fruit flavor and finishes with tartness characteristic of blackcurrant.
It makes the best Kir and Kir Royale we know, along with a host of other mixed drinks. It is delicious over fresh berries or ice cream (we add fresh peaches in season), or try it neat while you savor a bite of dark chocolate. It also makes a wonderful marinade for grilled salmon.
Among the many awards this special wine has won, Vermont Cassis took home a Double Gold medal in the 2011 Finger Lakes International Wine competition and was judged the best fruit wine in the show at the 2010 BigE Northeast Gold Wine Competition.
